Ulster Museum

The works comprised the fitting out of all new galleries in the museum including internal partitions, display lighting, decorative finishes, plinths, fixtures, fittings, furniture, display cases, graphic panels and labels, reconstruction works, physical interactives, audio visual and IT installations, mount making, signage and wayfinding.

The museum won one of the most prestigious museum prizes in the world - the coveted UK Art Fund Prize.  The judges were impressed by the interactive learning spaces on each level of the building as well as the way the museum was reaching out to all parts of the community.  The museum also won the top award for the Best Permanent Exhibit in UK museums.  Hills are proud to have been cost consultants and project managers for the fitting out of the galleries.
