Early February saw the grand opening of not just one but two National Colleges for Nuclear. Hills acted as Employer’s Agent and Quantity Surveyor on behalf of Bridgwater & Taunton College to create the country’s Southern hub for nuclear training. The other National College for Nuclear opened on the same day at Lakes College, Cumbria.
The new Colleges will provide students with experience, skills and knowledge to become highly skilled engineers, scientists and technicians to pursue a career in nuclear energy with the ambition to eventually service Hinckley Point C which is expected to open towards the latter end of 2025.
