Associate Director in the Oil & Gas Division with particular responsibility for clients on the European mainland.

Richard has more than 40 years experience in construction projects of all types, the last 30 of which have concentrated mainly on Oil & Gas industry projects.

He is adept at integrating within a client’s organisation generally as a senior member of a project team, taking a leading part in contract management whether it is during the tendering or construction phase. Richard has provided assistance to oil companies and major international contractors alike. He is often called upon to assist with contract claims and disputes.

Richard’s practical experience of the oil and gas development industry has led to him being requested to as sist clients’ corporate legal departments with reviews of clients’ suites of model contracts.

He is fluent in French, which enables him to work more easily with French clients, or on projects involving French-speaking companies.

Richard has worked in Norway, France, Australia, UAE, Russia and Algeria.
