Partnering has been developed over the last few years as a perceived possible solution to the difficulties of obtaining accurate and meaningful tenders. The Egan Report “Rethinking Construction” which was issued in July 1998 lay store by the introduction of partnering to:-
- Secure the workload of the Contractors
- Increase profitability
- Eliminate waste
- Increase research and development in the Constr
uction Industry.
Initial Contracts let under this basis required the use of a Facilitator to encourage existing parties to rethink their stance to a construction Contract.
This has now developed with provision of at least two or three new Contracts.
Hills have experience of using the PPC 2000 Contract.
Hills have also undertaken seminars to do with partnering. |
