Hills was founded in 1895 in Torquay as a traditional quantity surveying practice.  An office was opened in Cardiff in 1945, followed by London in 1970 then Bristol, Exeter and Milton Keynes over the next few years.  Most recently offices have been opened in Plymouth and Poole.

From these strategically placed offices Hills now cover all aspects of cost consultancy for the construction industry.  Whilst the company has expanded it has always been careful to ensure that clients get a personal service with a director being involved at all key stages in the development of a project, whether large or small.

Whilst Hills have a very wide experience of all types of projects they have gained a particular expertise in retailing, hotels, offshore oil and gas, social housing and education from primary school to university level.

Hills has the ability to offer project management services from investment appraisal through to completion of project.

Within each office Hills have team members with specialist expertise able to give advice to clients in the role of planning supervisor, expert witness, dispute resolution and party wall matters.
