2008 sees the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (the European Union directive under which the production of Energy Performance Certificates are required), widen to cover all domestic dwellings for sale or rent.

From April there is a requirement for the production of Energy Performance Certificates on the construction of all dwellings, and in October 2008 there will be a requirement for the production of energy Performance Certificates on the sale or rent of all domestic dwellings.

This requirement will apply to Housing Associations, with both existing and new build dwellings, covering both rental and shared ownership units. 

Hills are accredited as Domestic Energy Assessors under the RICS accreditation scheme.  As accredited assessors, Hills would be able to assist you in complying with the widening application of the EU Energy Performance of Building Directive.
